Lovely food, amazing choice of cakes, and very friendly attentive staff.
Went for coffee, cake and scones with friends on our boating holiday. Excellent service by a friendly lady who chatted to us as we ordered and later when she cleared our empty cups from the table. Warm welcome and if I lived locally, this would easily become a regular spot for a cuppa. The café doubles up as a restaurant for the evening. Our coffee and scones were tasty, served in beautiful surroundings (both location and the interior decor). The art gallery upstairs was interesting and the shop handy for buying duck food and biscuits. Hope to visit again when I return to the area.
Super cute little place right on a broad, in the tiniest, quaint village.
Proper slab of fruit cake and a pot of tea for a few shakes over a fiver. Perfect spot to watch the boats on the broads and the service was impeccable. Highly recommended.
A lovely little spot and worth mooring at Ranworth Broad for. An old malting and grain store which has been converted into a modern café and fantastic gift shop with a gallery for local artists or artists capturing the beauty of local landscapes. The cakes are out of this world and there’s too many to choose from! Staff are really friendly and go above and beyond. Some quirky and amusing signage if you keep your eyes peeled. Try the rhubarb and custard ice cream, or courgette and lime cake - both sound a bit odd but are delicious! Ask the owner for his shirt story, it’ll make you laugh. You’ll also catch some friendly ducks that love to be fed. Good wifi too (which in a bad signal area is an added bonus).
I would say I am somewhat of a Full English expert. I have particular needs and selections. I can honestly say The Granary ticked all boxes. Sausages that are right pork percentage and texture; thick bacon; defo free range eggs and fresh mushrooms and tomato. The sauces must be heinz or comparable. Toast with real butter not done for you. Only advice go rectangle not triangle on bread.
Staff are amazing, very polite very accommodating (even when I lost a ball off my nose ring) food was lovely and the coffee was brillant. Lovely setting too
